Pre-school Literacy Program starts June 21
This twenty-week program starts at the end of June for children starting school in 2011. The skills of phonemic awareness (sounds) and visual discrimination (letters and words) are learnt in a fun and supportive atmosphere. Children learn to read two-letter and three-letter words. The program includes writing, drawing and counting. Parents are very involved in this enjoyable program and are invited to attend the sixty-minute session each week with their children. Selective Schools Test Preparation
Current Year 5 students planning to sit this test in March 2011 should begin tuition as soon as possible. Over one thousand students apply for the 180 positions at Gosford High School each year. We prepare many students in our program that covers mathematics, reading comprehension, written expression, general ability and exam techniques. The Education Tax Refund (ETR) is a new federal government initiative to help with the cost of educating primary and secondary school children. It means eligible parents, carers, legal guardians and independent students could get 50% back on some education expenses. This includes items like computers, educational software, textbooks and stationery. Refunds of up to $375 for each primary and $750 for each secondary student in your care are available.
